Snoop Dogg Crafting a Reggae Album With Major Lazer's Help

Snoop Dogg had promised his upcoming album will have "the element of surprise," and based on words in the streets, he will definitely deliver on that promise.


Snoop has sought the help of hit maker Major Lazer to help him craft a reggae album. "What we're doing is a reggae record ... It's all reggae and [Snoop's] singing and he's doing an awesome job. I never knew it, but he had his heart in every song." explained Diplo, a founding member of Major Lazer.

"It's like the reincarnation and the birth of me becoming who I really am," Snoop said recently. "I was always a very peaceful, kind, loving, caring individual [but] making music to symbolise that sometimes never was my key."

Snoop Dogg had been in Jamaica recently meeting with Rastafarians of the Nyabinghi Order, and recording with various Jamaican Dancehall and Reggae musicians.
