The 4th Annual Reggae Music Achievement Awards

Toronto: In recognition of Black Music Month, the 4th Annual Reggae Achievement Awards (RMAA) will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Jamaican Canadian Association Ballroom, located at 995 Arrow Rd in Toronto, Canada.

The Awards show will begin promptly at 7:00PM and will feature performances by international reggae stars Frankie Paul, General Tree, as well as Kay Morris and Steele out of Toronto. Also slated to perform are Norris Weir & The Jamaicans, Mandy Woods and C. Blazer, all backed by the Mountain Edge Band.

The Reggae Music Achievement Awards is held annually to publicly recognize and highlight the outstanding contributors to the reggae music industry in Canada and the rest of the world. This special event also gives the Caribbean Diaspora community in Canada an opportunity to showcase their culture and talent to the rest of the world.

Sponsors this year include Western Union, Patty World, Caribbean Camera, Pride Newspaper, CHRY radio, 105.5 FM and JN Money Transfer.

“We are grateful and proud to be aligned with such a stellar roster of partner brands, which support many different aspects of the 4th Annual Reggae Achievement Awards” said Delroy Sterling, Producer, Organizer and Facilitator of the 4th Annual Reggae Achievement Awards Show.

“With their generous and creative support, we look forward to making this year’s RMA Awards show another huge success” he said.

Last year’s Awards show was a smashing success, with stellar performances by reggae crooner George Nooks, Ammoye, Tanya Mullings and Exco Levi. Attendees and nominees came from all over Canada and the Caribbean to celebrate the wonderful event.
