Celebrating 32 years with a mission to support progressive social values, sacred community activism, trans-partisan politics, and conscious uplifting music, the producers are very pleased to announce the confirmed program line-up for the 2010 Harmony Festival, to be held the weekend of June 11, 12, and 13 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, California.
Harmony Festival, one of first progressive green music festivals in the country, has opened new offices in Rohnert Park’s Sonoma Mountain Business Cluster sustainable community. Endorsed by the World Wildlife Fund and founded on One Planet principles, SOMO is the first North American green community, a 200-acre, mixed-use, solar-powered, zero-waste, green non-profit business incubator, and only the fourth in the world endorsed by the prestigious international One Planet Communities program. Harmony Festival CEO Howard “Bo” Sapper explains, “The model that we create and the values we express at our festival one weekend each June is mirrored 24/7 by the SOMO community. We are proud to be the newest member of this working, replicable environment. To our team, it is like ‘coming home’”.
Returning in 2010 is the festival’s newest breakout attraction, The Eco Rally Action Sports Zone (formerly Eco Cup), featuring continuous skateboarding, contests and a public street course (BYO Board), and live music by skate rock legends Fishbone, rising stars The Expendables, plus a rare semi-acoustic performance by Slightly Stoopid and other very special guests. The Eco Rally brings a positive message and eco-awareness to action sports fans in the North Bay and beyond. Get involved, activate and go skate!
Attracting over 30,000 people annually, Harmony Festival invites everyone to support a positive planetary shift to create a new world inclusive of all.
