The Easy Star All-Stars have helped to bring the sounds of reggae music to the masses by releasing highly successful series of tribute albums: Dub Side of the Moon (2003), a reggae re-invention of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon; Radiodread (2006), the band's take on Radiohead's OK Computer; Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band (2009), a cover of Sgt. Pepper's and was the first reggae record to crack the Billboard Top 200 chart in over 2 years; and finally Dubber Side of the Moon (2010) a monumental remix of their landmark album.
The band will embark on their First Light Tour on March 31. The tour will run the entire length of the Atlantic Coast, from Canada to Florida and back. The first 10 shows features support from the biggest up-and-coming band in reggae today, Hawaii's The Green (who is currently on a US tour), as well as from Easy Star artist Cas Haley, who just released his latest album, CONNECTION, last Fall.
