Bristol Reggae Explosion Back With a Third Volume

Bristol Archive Records is back with the third volume of its Bristol Reggae Archive collection which is set for release on March 19, 2012 . The album “Bristol Reggae Explosion Volume 3 – The 1980s Part 2,” will feature 15 tracks, with all of 11 of them previously unreleased. The songs selected all provide a great overview of the diversity of ideas and styles that were bubbling away in 1980s Bristol reggae music scene.

Whilst the album will happily demonstrate for most part, what was happening in the city during the 1980s, the rule was  bent to include a lone track from 1979 by Revelation Rockers, called "Jah Praise."

This third volume comes with a very strong leaning towards the roots side of reggae music, and is a sure keeper for those who enjoy roots reggae. Artist featured on volume two of the collection that will return on this volume includes; Bunny Marrett, Alfred McIntosh and Cool Runnings.
