Canadian Radio-television Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) gave its Approval to Reggae TV Channel

On Friday (Dec. 3) CRTC approved an application from MTT Communications Inc. to operate a new Category 2 specialty channel called Reggae TV.

The channel  will be devoted to the music and sounds of the Caribbean such  as reggae, dancehall, Caribbean festival music and performances, musicians and news about them and their art.

CRTC approved MTT Communications Inc's request to
broadcast up to six minutes per hour of local advertising and to also make available an upgraded, high-definition version of their service.

This is a good time for such a channel that is dedicated to Reggae Music and it's culture since the demand for it in Canada has grown considerably. We look forward to Reggae TV.
