The Bob Marley movement and his family will be staging the 18th annual 9 Mile Music Festival this Saturday, March 12th at Bayfront Park, Downtown Miami, Florida. The Reggae Festival is serves both as a charity event and a tribute to the anniversary of the birth of the Reggae icon Bob Marley, himself.

For the past 17 years patrons to the festival are always asked to help keep the spirit and message of Marley alive by contributing to the food drive this year their commitment to feed the hungry remains the same. To date, the festival has collected over 1 million canned goods to benefit charities dedicated to the eradication of hunger throughout the state of Florida. This year the beneficiary will be Curley’s House, an organization dedicated to improve the quality of life for low-to-moderate income individuals, families, the elderly, youth-at-risk, and HIV/Aids infected individuals by providing bulk food product to need residents.

The reggae festival will feature live performances from his sons, Stephen Marley, Damian Marley, Julian Marley and Kymani Marley. Also appearing is Slightly Stoopid, Kevens, Thievery Corporation, Major Lazer and reggae's Bad Boys band Inner Circle.

With a line up like this we are expecting a very huge turn out at Bayfront Park.
