Grim News for Buju Banton and his Defence Team

Yesterday, the Middle District of Florida Court ruled that Buju Banton will now answer to four charges and not two, when he returns to court on Monday February 14th.  This is a huge blow to Banton and his defence team who sought to have the new indictments thrown out.

Buju Banton will now face charges for:

• conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine;
• attempted possession with the intent to distribute cocaine;
• possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking offence; and
• using the wires to facilitate a drug-trafficking offence.

Trial will resume on Monday February 14th at the Sam M Gibbons Federal Court in Tampa, Florida.
