Beres For Studio 38

Reggae royalty Beres Hammond will be in concert at Kingston's Studio 38, Pulse Centre, Trafalgar Road, on Sunday night. Hammond is the fourth performer in the Live at Studio 38 series, following such greats as John Holt and Ken Booth in January, as well as Freddie McGregor in February. Toots and the Maytals will perform on Sunday, March 28.
Hammond will perform an extended two-hour set featuring his greatesthits, and will be backed by his Harmony House Band. Lloyd Parks and We The People Band will open the show.
Hammond is one of the greatest reggae balladeers to record an album, particularly in the lovers rock genre. With vocal skills often compared to Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Freddie McGregor and Glen Washington, he has been wooing reggae fans with his smooth voice and strong lyrics since the 1970s.
