Paapa Wastik expresses joy about Sizzla Kalonji show in Ghana this Weekend

2009 GMA reggae song of the year nominee and Roots-Life Reggae ambassador, Paapa Wastik has expressed great joy about the International reggae artist Sizzla Kalonji's show which will be held in Ghana on March 5th and 6th this year.

In an interview with Paapa Wastik, he couldn't even explain the joy and excitement that has filled his heart just to know that his bredren Sizlla Kalonji is finally stepping to deliver his message in flesh to the people of Ghana.

He also explained, "This is like a vision come true because I've been meditating and trying to work out for such international reggae shows to happen in Ghana, especially SIZZLA KALONJI live in GHANA."

According to Paapa Wastik, the people in Ghana need and deserve quality reggae shows like this annually, so he encourages promoters worldwide as well as the promoters in the country to focus on bringing quality reggae platform to the people of Ghana. He also used this opportunity to encourage Ghanaians to support reggae artists in the country as well as the reggae scene in Ghana.

Paapa Wastik is one of the only Ghana reggae artists who has recorded in the legendary Bob Marley's Tuff-Gong Studios in Jamaica, and has worked on stage with Sizlla Kalonji at 2008 Reggae Rising festival in Piercy, California. He has also collaborated with international reggae artists like Lutan Fyah, Bongo Hermann, and Jah Marcus. He is actually currently working on a single "Africa is my home" featuring  Sizzla Kalonji.

He also wants to express how thankful he is for the support from all of his fans in Ghana – for all the texts, calls, and other messages of interest. He said he is sorry for not being there (Ghana) to possibly open up for this new show that his bredren is delivering soon. However, for now he is on tour in USA promoting his new single "Unity for Africa" - featuring international reggae artist Jah Mason - on his new album "I-TROD", which will be launched soon in Ghana.
